  • What is the difference between an interior designer and interior stylist?

In the state of California, becoming a qualified interior designer requires a four-year degree and a license. Interior designers collaborate closely with architects to design functional spaces, utilizing advanced CAD renderings to bring 3D concepts to life.

On the other hand, interior stylists focus primarily on the decor and aesthetic aspects of a space. Unlike interior designers, interior stylists are not required to hold a degree. It's worth noting that while some interior designers may also specialize as interior stylists, not all stylists possess the same qualifications as designers.

Both professions contribute unique skills and perspectives to the world of interior design, but the distinction lies in their areas of expertise and educational requirements.

  • How much do my services cost?

As a budding designer, my services begin at $125 per hour.

I understand that it can be a significant commitment to work with someone new. That's why I would love the opportunity to have a quick 15-minute chat with you, absolutely free of charge, to discuss your project.

It's a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. So, let's connect and explore the possibilities for your space!

  • What do I need to provide to get started on my interior design project?

I completely understand where you're coming from! Making decisions about your space can be overwhelming, and I'm here to assist you every step of the way. The more information you provide me with, the better I can understand your vision and tailor my assistance accordingly.

To get started, please share some pictures of your space. This will give me a visual understanding of the area we're working with. Additionally, let me know if you have any specific color preferences, furniture pieces, or sentimental items that you'd like to incorporate. These details will help me personalize the design to reflect your unique style and personality.

Lastly, if you have an inspiration board, please share it with me. Your board can include images, magazine clippings, or online references that capture the look and feel you desire for your space. This will give me valuable insight into your aesthetic preferences and guide our decision-making process.

  • What is my education and background?

In 2013, I dove headfirst into the wild world of fixing up homes in Los Angeles. But let me tell you, my real education started when I was just a sprightly 13-year-old. It was my fabulous grandma, with her interior design expertise, who first blew my mind with a dazzling moodboard. From that moment, I was utterly obsessed with the art of interior styling. I devoured every article, blog, and scrap of inspiration I could get my hands on.

Now, here's where things get interesting. While some folks fork over a fortune for a four-year interior design program, I said, "No way!" I decided to pour that moolah into teaching myself the trade and creating my own little slice of heaven at home. Who needs stuffy rules and regulations when you're unleashing your own style and self-expression?

I built up a treasure trove of knowledge through trial and error, unapologetically experimenting and pushing the boundaries. Interior design is an art form, my friend, and I wasn't about to let anyone tell me how to wield my creative magic.

  • What is my favorite color?

I actually don’t have a favorite color! I absolutely love all color since all color is an expression of life and adventure. Orange - YES. Brown - YES. Olive green - YES, YES.

It’s all in how you use it and how you see it. Did you know that taste and preference are dictated by cultural influences? So in other words, a color that is popular in your culture may be extremely unpopular in another. This is the same for taste, smell, musical taste and anything else that is related to the senses.

As a citizen of the world, I accept all colors equally and would love the chance to use them all in my designs.
